Jamie Carragher believes there is little to split Arsenal and Manchester City in the title race after both sides picked up wins in very different circumstances over the weekend.

The Gunners looked to be in major trouble when they fell two goals behind to the Cherries, but they turned the game on its head in the final half hour with goals from Thomas Partey, Ben White and Reiss Nelson sealing an astonishing comeback.

That result restored Arsenal's five-point lead at the top of the table over City who beat Newcastle 2-0 earlier in the day. There were wild celebrations on the pitch and in the stands at the Emirates as Nelson's strike hit the back of the net, and Carragher feels Arsenal fans have every right to get carried away as it could prove to be a pivotal moment in the club's season.

'I’ve always had the feeling that if you want to win the league you have to score late goals, but the thing that strikes me is the quality of the goals,' Carragher said on Monday Night Football.

'I was in the car, and I was celebrating! You’ll have the fun police saying they shouldn’t be celebrating. If Arsenal win the league, Reiss Nelson will be an Arsenal legend. Those Steve Bruce goals (when Manchester United won their first Premier League title) are still talked about now.
