Colorado Rockies left-handed pitcher Lucas Gilbreath won't be on the mound this season, so he decided to break the news in a hilarious way.
The Colorado-born reliever had an MRI on his elbow that he injured in the 2022 season with a flexor strain in his pitching arm.
While it was initially believed he wouldn't need surgery - and that injections of platelet rich plasma (PRP) would be enough- it appeared he still struggled in Spring Training.
It was announced that he would be getting Tommy John surgery and that he'd miss the rest of the season.
