Lucy Bronze says women’s footballers have a responsibility to use their platforms to create change after the Government pledged to offer girls equal access to football and school sport.
Bronze and her Lionesses team-mates wrote to former prime ministerial contenders Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss the day after the Euro 2022 final, urging them to build on the legacy created by their victory.
The Government will make it clear to schools that they are expected to deliver a minimum of two hours of PE per week and ensure that girls have equal access to all school sport, including football.
The ground-breaking pledge, which coincides with International Women’s Day, is backed by a multi-million-pound investment
