Aussie world champion boxer Ebanie Bridges has marked International Women's Day by posting a video clip of her stripping down to see-through lingerie and calling on women to 'express themselves'.

Bridges, who is the current IBF bantamweight champion, has won swathes of fans with her disarming sense of humour, aggressive boxing style and eye-catching weigh-in outfits.

The former maths teacher has also been criticised for her bold approach to the sport - for which she refuses to apologise.

'I know I got a lot of stick for it,' Bridges says in the video she posted of herself stripping down.

'But I just never gave up and I stayed true to myself because I think it's an important message for everyone that you need to stay true to yourself.
