St Kilda captain Jack Steele conceded it was 'not ideal' audio from the coaches box could soon become public - and confirmed Ross Lyon has already spoken to some players to prepare them for what they might hear.
The new Saints coach, known to be animated and vocal during matches, wanted to make sure a number of players were 'comfortable' with what had been said in the box during Friday's practice match against Essendon.
St Kilda accidentally uploaded its sensitive coaches' box audio to a league-wide shared Dropbox folder last weekend, with the club making a proactive response to the error in case the audio was accessed before it was deleted from the folder.
Sensitive tactical information could have been exposed to other AFL clubs via the leak, but Steele said Lyon was also focused on assuaging certain players' concerns over comments made about them in the box.
