Carlos Rodon will miss the New York Yankees' start to the MLB season after suffering a left forearm strain.

Rodon's strain is only considered mild but it will be enough to keep the Yanks' new signing out of the Opening Day game vs. San Francisco on March 30.

The two-time All-Star signed signed a six-year, $162 million deal with the Yankees in free agency after a strong season with the Giants.

According to Yankees general manager, Brian Cashman, the hope is Rodon can return to the mound next month.

'In a perfect world, he's back sometime in April,' Cashman said, before describing the injury as 'not significant or serious.'
