Joe Mixon's sister, Shalonda Mixon, has been named as a suspect along with one other in the shooting that took place at the Cincinnati Bengals star's home earlier this week, according to TMZ.

Ohio police were called to the home of the running back on Monday night in response to an alleged shooting that resulted in a minor injury to a juvenile, who was reportedly hospitalized.

According to a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office incident report, several juveniles were playing a game called 'dart wars' near the property when the shooting occurred. 

Police in the report say that two of the teens participating in the game allege that the one of the other players, a 16-year-old boy, had an alongside the house with a 'Nerf-style' toy gun when he was shot at with a real firearm.

'Unknown suspect(s)' allegedly shot at the teenage boy from the Bengals player's backyard, firing off 11 rounds.

According to the documents, a black Honda Accord was spotted leaving the property not long after the shooting. 

Police say that a following stop of the vehicle revealed Shalonda Mixon, 34, and a man named Lamonte Brewer, 34, were the occupants. Both reportedly were identified as suspects in the shooting incident.

The boy was taken to hospital, where medical staff he still had a bullet lodged in his foot, police say. 

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said that no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.  

'We understand that there is very specific interest in this story due to the nature of the home being connected to Bengals player Joe Mixon,' an HCSO spokesperson said in a statement Thursday. 'We cannot confirm additional details outside of what is outlined in the Incident Report. Our investigative team continues to review the evidence and conduct interviews.' 

Joe Mixon has yet to publicly comment on the incident.  

On Tuesday, Fox 19 reported that a neighbor's claim that a gun was fired from Mixon's residence at high school teens who were playing 'NERF wars' alongside his property, but it's unclear who pulled the trigger.  

The local network reported that officers have taped off an area around a home on Ayers Road in Anderson Township – a Cincinnati suburb along the banks of the Ohio River. The residence is adjacent to a home belonging to Mixon, according to an arrest warrant for the 26-year-old NFL star that was dropped earlier this year.

Fox 19 reports that there was an evidence marker in Mixon's yard, and deputies were seen extending the crime-scene tape to his property around 11pm on Monday.

Less than an hour later, officers reportedly banged on Mixon's door, identified themselves, and told the home owner to exit the home. Later, a car was permitted into the home's driveway around 12:15am, according to Fox 19.
