Brandon Miller had 18 points and nine rebounds as No. 4 Alabama beat Mississippi State 72-49 in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament Friday - the same day as his ex-teammate Darius Miles was indicted on capital murder charges.
Miles and his friend Michael Lynn Davis have been accused of the murder of Jamea Jonae Harris on January 15 of this year.
And according to police, it was Miller who provided Miles with the handgun
Nonetheless, Miller has not been charged by authorities to date, and continues to star for an Alabama team that has legitimate title hopes in March Madness.
Miller's leading effort on Friday, which sets up a semifinal vs. No. 25 Missouri on Saturday, comes roughly two weeks after his 41-point effort the same day that he was linked to Miles' murder charge in court.
