Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted he didn't enjoy 'facing a deep and compact side' after his 7-0 triumph over Manchester United last week, as his side suffered a dismal 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth to lose vital ground in the top four race on Saturday.
The Reds' monumental victory over their bitter rivals last weekend provided the tonic to a disappointing campaign at Anfield this season, but old habits crept in once again at the Vitality Stadium as Liverpool were undone by the Premier League's bottom-placed side.
Cherries midfielder Philip Billing netted the opener during a lethargic first half from the visitors, provisionally climbing Gary O'Neil's side out of the relegation zone.
Speaking to BT Sport after the match, Klopp admitted Liverpool's performance was disappointing.
'What can I say? It was never really our game,' he confessed. 'We were dominant in the first half but mostly we put ball in at the wrong moment against a compact side.
