Beautician-turned-trainer Sheila Lewis says she will be turning ’cartwheels’ if her first runner at the Festival — Straw Fan Jack in the Arkle Challenge Trophy — hits the frame.
Although spending much of her working life as a beautician, including a spell on cruise ships, 54-year-old Lewis had to concentrate on the horses she trained when the Covid-19 pandemic shut down her business.
Her training career was subsequently transformed.
Lewis said: ‘I would definitely be doing cartwheels if he finished in the first four. People love a story like this.
