Gordon Elliott has confirmed both Delta Work and Galvin will go to next month's Grand National as intended.
Both trained by Elliott, the Irishman achieved another one-two finish, eerily reminiscent of the result he produced in last year's Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase, when Tiger Roll pushed the same winner close.
With Galvin pushing him close, Delta Work exhibited his characteristic turn of foot and power to beat off competition from his stablemate and claim a second consecutive success in the race.
Speaking to ITV Racing from the parade ring, a delighted Elliott congratulated - stand-in - jockey Keith Donoghue and maintained the intention was for both horses to go to Aintree having emerged out of Cheltenham with renewed vigour and, crucially, unscathed.
'I'm pleased for Keith who is having his best ever season, but Jack (Kennedy, injured stable jockey) is a team player and he's here lending his support. Jack will be back on these horses when he's passed fit to return,' he said.
