A punter has claimed a windfall of £200,000 following Galopin Des Champs' victory in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
A betslip shared by the Sun showed details of a seven-race punt with the potential to land £1,151,851.74, with the first five races already won.
The full bet was off on Thursday after Shishkin was beaten in the Ryanair Chase, with the Henry de Bromhead-trained Envoi Allen claiming victory with Rachael Blackmore on board.
However, the punter went into the final day of the festival knowing that Galopin Des Champs merely placing, despite being the overwhelming market favourite leading up to the race, would see them rake in a significant sum from the £5 bet.
With the horses turning into the final straight in the week's showpiece race, Galopin Des Champs had ground to make up on Protektorat and Bravemansgame.
