Mikel Arteta has called on his players to return from the international break with the same mentality and hunger for the ’10 finals’ that separate Arsenal from the Premier League title.
Arteta’s side moved eight points clear of Manchester City with a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday, thanks to a brace from Bukayo Saka and goals from Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Arsenal lost Gabriel Jesus to a serious knee injury while he was with Brazil at the World Cup and Arteta’s squad have been struck by fitness issues in recent weeks, too.
But the Arsenal boss hopes his players will return fit and firing ahead of their next Premier League game – against Leeds on April 1.
