Kendrick Perkins has laid into the Golden State Warriors and their never-ending beef with the Memphis Grizzlies, as he let Steve Kerr's men publicly know that they 'need to stop counting' their four most recent NBA titles and 'start competing' ahead of the NBA playoffs next month.
Asked 'who looks more petty' between Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks and Warriors veteran Klay Thompson, following their spat in the press last week, 'Big Perk' agreed that it was the latter and his teammates.
'It's Klay and the Golden State Warriors,' Perkins said on ESPN's First Take on Monday.
'Here's the thing and my message to the Golden State Warriors. They need to stop counting these four rings and start competing because when we look at them with the matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies, every time they've matched up over the last couple of weeks, it's been a spanking. And that's been without Ja Morant.
'So look, I understand and I respect the championships. You gotta respect it. Right? You can never take that away from a player or a team or an organization. But at the same time, the game is won between the lines right now and it's [about] what you're doing right now.'
