Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy joked that he is 'sworn to secrecy' over the organization's negotiations with the New York Jets over a trade for Aaron Rodgers.

The quarterbacks' NFL future has been the center of speculation throughout the offseason but Rodgers appeared to have made his decision when he declared his intention to play for the Jets last week following weeks of rumors about his impending move to New York.

However, New York and Green Bay still have to work out a deal that satisfies both teams, and according to Rodgers, that process is being hindered by the Packers' trade demands.

When asked about the Packers' offseason plans, Murphy couldn't help but joke about the ongoing saga.

'Yeah, I mean if things don't work out the way we would want them yeah,' Murphy said. 'He's obviously a great player and four-time MVP but you know, I think it's trying to find what he wants and what we want and hopefully we can find a win-win situation.'

Rodgers revealed that he wanted out of Green Bay during a bombshell appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show.

One draw for Rodgers to New York was the presence of his former offensive coordinator in Green Bay, ex-Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett.
