Lions star Joe Daniher's side looked to be cruising to victory over the Demons in the third quarter of their dramatic clash on Friday night - but that didn't stop the full forward from gesticulating wildly at teammate Eric Hipwood before smashing him in the chest to make a point seconds later.

Brisbane were up by 26 points with just over two minutes remaining in the term when Daniher was seen angrily waving his arms at Hipwood as he stood in the goal square, obviously desperate to be fed the ball so he could extend the lead.

The 29-year-old seemed furious as he repeatedly pointed towards the forward pocket before throwing his hands up in exasperation while he was being marked by Melbourne's Judd McVee.

'This is what happens when you get a 201-centimetre [player] against a 185. Get it in quick,' Luke Hodge said in commentary for Channel Seven.
