South Sydney young gun Lachlan Ilias told his teammates he was ready to win the game for them and then backed up his bravado by kicking the winning field goal in golden point.
The Bunnies honoured the memory of the late great John Sattler with a dramatic 13-12 win over Manly at Accor Stadium, courtesy of Ilias' 25-metre field goal in the third minute of golden point.
Latrell Mitchell had missed the chance to win the game for the Rabbitohs when he dragged his field goal wide at the end of the 80 minutes, and Ilias revealed he wanted the ball if another chance arose.
'I knew they [defenders] were going to go to Trell [Mitchell], I just said I’m going to be ready so give me the ball,' he said on Fox League after the game.
'Cookie [Damien Cook] threw me a good pass and lucky it went through. It was pretty surreal when it went over.

Ilias' heroics came after Manly made a crucial error on their opening set of extra time, when Josh Aloiai put the ball down under the posts and gifted possession to the Rabbitohs.
The win allowed the Rabbitohs to go back to an even record of 2-2, while the Sea Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.
