Antonio Conte 'has given his blessing for his coaching staff to remain at Tottenham Hotspur' - but his brother Gianluca is set to follow him through the exit door.

The Italian finally left Spurs by 'mutual consent' on Sunday night after his extraordinary rant against his own players following the 3-3 draw at Southampton earlier this month.

It brought the curtain down on a turbulent 16-month reign and leaves Spurs searching for their fourth manager in just two years.

Conte's long-serving assistant Cristian Stellini will become acting head coach, with Ryan Mason as his No 2, for the remainder of the season.

The Evening Standard reported that Stellini will retain the majority of Conte's staff, including goalkeeping coach Marco Savorani, set-piece specialist Gianni Vio, and fitness coaches Stefano Bruno and Constantino Coratti.

However, they say Gianluca Conte, who was working as a technical and analytics coach, will follow his brother out of the club.

Savorani was the most likely of the others to depart with Conte but will remain to help Stellini during the remaining 10 matches of the Premier League season as they aim to finish in the top four and qualify for next season's Champions League.

Spurs do presently occupy fourth position but Newcastle in fifth are just two points behind and retain two games in hand.

Chairman Daniel Levy and the club's hierarchy will begin another manager hunt, with the recently-sacked Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann and former favourite Mauricio Pochettino among names in the frame.

Conte's anticipated exit was confirmed by a club statement just before 10.30pm on Sunday night and was described as a 'mutual' decision.
