Angus Crichton is reportedly closing in on a return to footy just over a month after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
The Sydney Roosters star took an indefinite break from rugby league in February, but returned to training on Monday after spending several weeks in a mental health facility.
According to Wide World of Sports, the Kangaroos and New South Wales star forward is expected to spend the next few weeks to build up his fitness before returning to the field.
No date was set for the star forward's return when his father Charlie Crichton confirmed his diagnosis in February, but it appears the 27-year-old's recovery has progressed faster than anticipated.
It is understood the Roosters are no pressuring Crichton to return and the second-rower has been taken to take as much as he needs before making a comeback.
