Fabio Paratici, Tottenham's director of football, has insisted Antonio Conte's exit from the club was 'the right decision for everyone.'
Conte left Spurs by mutual consent on Sunday evening after 16 months at the North London club.
His exit came after an extraordinary rant about his players after they gave up a 3-1 lead to bottom-place Southampton.
Paratici was sympathetic towards Conte after his exit, as he told the club's social media: 'We know how difficult this season has been for him personally.
'Gian Piero [Ventrone] died, and [Gianluca] Vialli and [Sinisa] Mihajlovic, and then his surgery.
