Australian cricket star Steve Smith has turned heads following his commentary debut in the Indian Premier League.
In bizarre scenes, the 33-year-old appeared as a hologram on Star Sports for the tournament opener on Friday.
It followed the veteran announcing earlier this week he was 'joining an exceptional and passionate team.'
Given Smith wasn't signed for any IPL franchises, many fans felt he would instead feature in commentary.
They proved on the money, with Smith 'appearing' in the studio alongside fellow Aussies Tom Moody and Aaron Finch.
