Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali has praised the 'magic' atmosphere of the Australian Grand Prix and reiterated Melbourne remains 'very important' for the sport.
Over 450,000 passed through the gates at Albert Park over the course of the weekend, confirming the sport popularity's in Australia.
'To have more than 450,000 people for the weekend is just massive, it’s just great,' Domenicali told Speedcafe.
'The atmosphere you live here in Melbourne, at Albert Park, is just magic because you have incredibly passionate people.
'You go into the city, they talk about Formula 1, so that’s really what we want.'
