AFL great Campbell Brown has slammed Port Adelaide legend Warren Tredrea over bitter attacks on his former club, saying the side's strong results prove he should 'wash his mouth out with soap'.

Tredrea is one of the club's greatest-ever players since it entered the AFL in 1997, captaining the Power to a premiership in 2004 and winning four Best and Fairest medals to go with for All Australian blazers for being one of the competition's most dominant forwards during the noughties.

But since he retired in 2010 after 255 matches for the club, he has well and truly remained in the spotlight.

A long stint as a sports presenter at 9News in Adelaide soured over the footy legend's refusal to get the Covid vaccination, which led to him being axed

He has since waged a very bitter battle against Port Adelaide after his bid to join the club's board was rejected.

He's taken on the two most influential figures at the club - president David Koch and coach Ken Hinkley - who he says has let the Power 'slip in their decision making'.

Tredrea accused Koch of 'gaslighting' and trying to 'discredit him' all for podcast downloads (he himself made the claims on a podcast of his own, The Big Deal) last month.

The club great then took aim at Hinkley, claiming his job was 'untenable' after just three rounds of the season.
