A Sydney high school has called the police after the son of the referee who was attacked after a soccer match was threatened and taunted in the playground and online.
Khoder Yaghi, 45, suffered a broken jaw during an alleged assault in south-west Sydney a fortnight ago, with suspended player Adam Abdallah, 25, accused of committing the attack.
Mr Yaghi, a father of four, has revealed that one of his sons has struggled to come to terms with the attack, and it has been made worse by students at his school bullying him.
On Tuesday, the school contacted the police after threatening online chat group messages directed at the boy were discovered.
