Disgraced former AFL player agent Ricky Nixon has the perfect solution to being busted speeding — get former Collingwood champion Dane Swan to drive him around.
Nixon, 60, landed himself in court again this week where he was found guilty of doing 92km/h in an 80km/h zone on the Midland Hwy in country Victoria.
Magistrate Guillaume Bailin fined Nixon $370 and did not record a conviction, despite the former player agent's claims the fixed speed camera that nabbed him was faulty.
'I don't agree with it, of course,' Nixon said after the magistrate handed down his ruling.
'I will take the penalty — and I will make Dane Swan, the Collingwood player, drive me around.'
Nixon, a former AFL player agent for stars including Wayne Carey and Gary Ablett Sr, was deregistered by the AFL Players' Association (AFLPA) in 2011 due to a number of controversial incidents.
He currently manages Swan, a former Brownlow medalist who was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2017.
Nixon said the speed camera must have been faulty because it clocked him at a time when he was not on the highway in question
