NFL owners have come to a resolution regarding Thursday Night Football flex scheduling ahead of the 2023 season.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the league's 32 owners resoundingly passed the move -- despite public opposition from the likes of John Mara and Mark Davis -- 24-8.
Teams will not play on Thursday night more than twice throughout a season and only two flexes will be allowed total; specifically through Weeks 13-17. Similarly, they will only be flexed once through 2023 to Thursday.
If a team is rescheduled from Sunday to TNF, they will be given at least 28 days notice by the league office. Should the league not use the privileges twice in the upcoming season, it will carry over to 2024.
