Tyson Fury's next opponent could be Jai Opetaia after the Australian's manager confirmed that he is in talks with the Gypsy King's team over a bout at Suncorp Stadium this year.
Fury, 34, was ringside for Joseph Parker's first round demolition of Faiga Opelu at Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, with the WBC champion entertaining a fight Down Under.
The British star touched down in Brisbane on Thursday after revealing that he is scouting out potential venues for a heavyweight blockbuster, after it emerged that his team have contacted Aussie heavyweight Demsey McKean.
And now Opetaiai's manager, Mick Francis, has told the Sydney Morning Herald that he has been in talks with the Gypsy King's camp over a fight in the Australian summer.
'It's a legitimate fight,' Francis said. 'Tyson Fury won't get knocked out and Jai Opetaia won't get knocked out. It's a fight that will go the distance, it would be an absolute war.
