Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, as they succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the London side's first away win since January.

There was a sombre mood at Elland Road, as the club's fate was confirmed, spelling the end of their three season stay in the top-flight, after having secured promotion at the end of the 2019-20 season.

With just two minutes on the clock, Harry Kane slotted his 29th goal of the season for Tottenham, an ominous foreshadowing of what was to come for the Yorkshire club.

The England captain would prove pivotal again, showing some superb skills to evade Liam Cooper in the middle of the pitch, before finding Pedro Porro, who finished the move, rifling his shot into the bottom left corner from a tight angle.

Lucas Moura signed-off his Tottenham career with a stunning solo run that saw him weave his way past several Leeds players before netting his side's fourth of the match, with what could be his last kick in a Spurs shirt, condemning a deflated Leeds side to relegation.

The Italian’s absence was gutless but no surprise, having spent last week back in his homeland trying to complete a deal to buy Sampdoria.

Radrizzani’s recent dereliction of duty would suggest he is willing to sell his 56 per cent stake to 49ers Enterprises, who remain keen on a full takeover even with Leeds in the Championship.
