Sean Dyche insisted survival must be a wake-up call for Everton after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s stunning volley extended the club’s 69-year stay in the top flight — and sent Leicester and Leeds down.

Dyche’s side had to beat Bournemouth to guarantee survival and in the 57th minute the Mali midfielder broke the deadlock and tension at Goodison Park with a thumping strike to rapturous celebrations, with fireworks being set off outside the ground.
