According to The Telegraph, the RFU have reportedly 'seen zero progression' on Friday with Irish's deal to secure a takeover and neither have they seen current owner, Mick Crossan, is able to provide funding to support the club next season. The outlet reports that the club has until 4pm on Tuesday to deliver their plans to the RFU's Financial Viability group who will 'make a recommendation to the Union's board before Wednesday'. Failure to show these plans 'will result in suspension' and the Telegraph are suggesting that a 'worst-case scenario is feared' with players now 'scrambling for employment next season'.
