Castlemaine Football player Dallas Keogh-Frankling, 17, collapsed in the changerooms rooms after an away game against Kyneton Tigers in the under-18s Bendigo League on Saturday. He was rushed to Kyneton Hospital in a critical condition but died before he could be airlifted to Melbourne. His heartbroken grandmother, Margaret Keogh, was at the game on the weekend and has spoken about her last conversation with her grandson. 'Dallas rang me Friday night,' Keogh told 7 News. Margaret Keogh, grandmother of footballer Dallas Keogh-Frankling, has revealed her final conversation with the young footy star Dallas Keogh-Frankling collapsed in the changerooms rooms after an away game against Kyneton Tigers in the under-18s Bendigo League over the weekend 'And he said, 'Nan, I've been off for a few days. 'Umm … I've been feeling a bit crook, a bit of the flu'. 'But he said, 'I'm feeling better now and I'm playing tomorrow'.' Keogh-Frankling was injured during a tackle towards the end of the last quarter, but played on for the rest of the game. He deteriorated quickly in the changerooms, however, and was soon unresponsive before being rushed to hospital. In light of the tragedy, it is unsure if Castlemaine's match this week against Golden Square will go ahead. But the teenager's grieving grandmother believes Dallas would want his side to keep on competing without him. 'I'm sure he'd be saying, 'Play because I would want to be playing'. He would,' she said. Mark Frankling (pictured with Dallas) says he only wants good things to come from the tragedy 'He was the most beautiful, beautiful boy. 'I am finding it very hard to accept that this tragedy has occurred. 'I can't believe that such a beautiful person has left us … We're going to miss Dallas like you wouldn't believe.' The boy's father, Mark Frankling, said he only wanted 'good things' to come from the tragedy. 'Dallas would still want them (his teammates) to play footy instead of not playing footy,' he said. 'That's life, things can happen, accidents can happen, I just don't want this to affect the footy club.' The coroner is now investigating Keogh-Frankling’s death.
