Liverpool are set to stage a ‘home’ pre-season friendly at Preston North End - with the Deepdale club subsequently asking for permission to play their first match of the season away.
Mail Sport has learned that Jurgen Klopp’s side have pencilled in a tune-up for Monday, August 7, ahead of the start of the top-flight campaign on the following Saturday, August 12.
