Kayla Day continued her resurgence at Roland Garros in her first major main draw appearance since 2017 this afternoon and detailed an injury nightmare since first breaking through as a 17-year-old at the US Open.

The American was tipped for big things after a positive season on the circuit in 2017 but has struggled with a long list of ailments since. Day, though, is showing good form at the French Open and this afternoon beat compatriot Madison Keys 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
