Damar Hamlin should be the athlete on the cover of EA Sports' game Madden 24, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III believes.
Details of the popular video game are expected to be released this month, fueling speculation over who will be the cover of this year's edition.
Allen, who's said to be dating singer Hailee Steinfeld after recently splitting with his former longtime partner Brittany Williams, will be making history as the first ever Buffalo Bills player to feature on Madden's cover since the game's creation in 1988.
The 27-year-old's undoubtedly established himself as one of the NFL's most trusting quarterbacks. Over his first five seasons in the league, he's elevated the Bills, taking Buffalo to the postseason four times and tipping them to win this year's Super Bowl before the team faltered in the final weeks of regular season, which translated into the playoffs.
However, Robert Griffin III - a former quarterback for the Washington Commanders (then Redskins), Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens - replied to rumors of who'll appear on this year's Madden cover by suggesting that a teammate of Allen's should be on it, rather than the quarterback, himself.

'Celebrate Denny Kellington and the professionals who saved his life with a briefing detailing all the work they did to save him and get him back on the field.
'It's important for the youth to know these facts and Madden has their attention.'
