Parramatta Eels star Dylan Brown won't play again until July at the earliest after he was sidelined as part of the NRL's 'no-fault' stand down policy on Wednesday afternoon.
It followed the 22-year-old appearing in the Sydney Downing Centre hours earlier over allegations he touched a woman without her consent at Double Bay's Golden Sheaf hotel on Saturday night in Sydney's east.
Brown was initially selected for the Eels' King's Birthday clash with Canterbury on Monday - but the NRL, led by CEO Andrew Abdo, exercised their discretion on the matter.
'The Parramatta Eels have been informed by the NRL that Dylan Brown has been stood down from team selection as part of the NRL's no fault stand down policy regarding the incident this past weekend,' the club said in a statement.
'Dylan will not be eligible for selection until he receives clearance from the NRL.
