After weeks of negotiations and discussions, Manchester United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana in a £47.1million deal from Inter Milan.

The Cameroonian shotstopper becomes the club's third signing of the summer after Mason Mount and the surprise return of Jonny Evans.

Onana, is a now a United player subject to international clearance after signing a five-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of a further year. 

United boss Erik ten Hag will be delighted to have got Onana's deal over the line but there's still plenty that needs to be addressed in their squad.

Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund has emerged as the priority target and ten Hag recently insisted that United will do everything they can to sign a new striker this summer.

Ten Hag’s agents SEG have a short representation deal with the striker and it seems clear that the United boss wants to make sure it happens.  

Personal terms with the 20-year-old have reportedly been agreed but the Red Devils are are still some way off meeting the Italian side's valuation.

And with Atalanta insisting they will only sell the striker for their £86m asking price, it will take some strong negotiating from United in order to broker a deal.

Ten Hag spoke passionately about his desire to bring 'the right man' in this summer and, if that is the case, then they could be about the splash the cash once more.

‘We will do everything that's in our power to get the right man in,’ said Ten Hag. ‘You never know in the transfer market, but we know our targets and we’ll do everything we can. We put every effort in to get this done because it's an area where we need improvement.
