The Ashes series concluded as England ran out deserved victors in the final Test at the Kia Oval on Monday evening.

Stuart Broad sealed victory by snatching the final two wickets in a blistering bowling spell on the final day of his career in the sport.

Australia retained the urn but England take the plaudits after being denied what on reflection looked like it would have been another victory at Old Trafford in the fourth Test but for the rain.

JIMMY ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE 

Jimmy Anderson has reiterated he has no intention of retiring — insisting Stuart Broad’s decision to call it quits has made him doubly determined to carry on.

England’s all-time leading wicket-taker turned 41 on Sunday and took just five wickets in the series.

But asked whether the retirement of Broad will have any bearing on his own future, Anderson said: ‘Not at all. I think I am even more firm that I want to keep going.
