Andy Cole made a hilarious gaffe while conducting the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw on Wednesday night.

The former Manchester United striker was a pundit for Sky Sports' coverage of his former club's 3-0 defeat to Newcastle at Old Trafford in the fourth round alongside Izzy Christiansen and Shay Given.

Following the game, Christiansen and Cole undertook the draw for the last eight with presenter Mark Chapman.

However, as Cole pulled out one ball, he inspected with a bewildered look, before he held the ball to the camera and queried with Chapman over whether it was a number six or a number nine.

He could be heard saying: 'Is it this way?', before Chapman hilariously replied: 'It is that way.
