George W. Bush sent his congratulations to the Texas Rangers after his baseball team won the World Series on Wednesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Texas clinched its first World Series title in franchise history on Wednesday night with a 5-0 victory at Chase Field, wrapping up a 4-1 triumph.

Taking to X, the former President wrote: 'As a Texas @Rangers fan, I am thrilled for Texas Rangers fans tonight. 

'I congratulate the owners, the managers and coaching staff, the front office, and the entire organization,' Bush said.

‘And of course, I congratulate the players of this awesome team on winning the first World Series in our club's history.
