A Manchester United fan who was ejected from Old Trafford during last Sunday's game against Manchester City has been banned for one match.

The aforementioned supporter had slammed the club last week after claiming they were ejected for 'peacefully' showing a Palestinian flag at half-time.

After the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine began last month, the Premier League announced fans would be banned from taking in or displaying Israeli and Palestinian flags inside stadiums in all fixtures. This is something United have adopted.

Having held up the flag, the supporter explained they were quickly approached by a host of security personnel who decided to remove them from the ground.

And, now, it has been revealed the individual has received a one-match ban from the club for 'abusive and disorderly behaviour', although they are appealing the decision.

'This offence contravenes Ground Regulations and is an offence in the club's Official Sanctions
