He once sacrificed his music career to make it in the NRL, now North Queensland Cowboys enforcer Jamayne Taunoa-Brown has released a new hip-hop track showing that he capable of excelling in both careers.

After previously dropping his track Reckless in September, Taunoa-Brown has dropped his next hip hop banger Fiesta under his musician name Yung Maynie over the NRL off-season.

Before he was known as an NRL enforcer, Taunoa-Brown was an up-and-coming rapper and hip-hop producer from Melbourne.

At the same time he was trying to crack the NRL playing with Melbourne Storm and Newcastle Knights junior sides, he was making a name for himself after launching on national music program Triple J Unearthed.

'I have always loved music,' he said at the time.
