Aussie superstar Daniel Ricciardo has been warned not to 'hit a stripper' by TV host Jimmy Kimmel as Formula 1 makes its long-awaited return to Las Vegas.

The sport will shortly descend on Vegas for perhaps the most highly-anticipated race in Formula One history, and Ricciardo has returned to late night US TV to promote the penultimate outing of the year.

Kimmel, who grew up in Las Vegas, knows 'Sin City' very well and had some advice for the 34-year-old AlphaTauri driver.

'You gotta be careful though because you know, there are people with like Margaritas and uh, Daquiries that are like four and a half feet tall,' the TV host said on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

'You could easily run somebody over like, just don't discount that factor, all right? If you see a red light, stop is what I'm saying!'
