Browns tight end David Njoku burned nearly a quarter of his body in his bonfire accident earlier this season.

Njoku's doctor, Dr. Joseph Khouri of University Hospitals revealed that the Cleveland star burned 17 per cent of his body, claiming that his injuries were 'probably the most painful burn you can have.'

Khouri identified Njoku's injuries as second-degree partial-thickness burns, which involves the top two layers of the skin.

'I diagnosed it as about a 17-18 per cent total body surface area burn of second-degree partial thickness,' said Khouri.

'My recommendation was to not play,' Khouri added.
