One-time AFL player turned NFL star Arryn Siposs has revealed the brutal way he was sacked by the Philadelphia Eagles following a crucial error in last season's Super Bowl.

Siposs, 31, labelled his exit 'business like' and added clearing out his locker back in August 'wasn't fun.' 

The punter was also delisted by St Kilda in 2015 - and confirmed the level of compassion was very different down under.

'From the AFL point of view, they try and work something out for you at a later stage, or you have a chat about things that you can work on and why they made the decision and that,' he told SEN Radio on Thursday.

'In the US, I go in the door to meet the GM [General Manager] over at the Eagles and it's just basically "all the best, we are going to move with somebody else and good luck".
