Emma Raducanu is craving time on court and is prepared to compete in lower-level tournaments to fulfil that wish, after her Grand Slam comeback ended earlier than she would have liked.
Raducanu lost 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to China's Yafan Wang in the Australian Open's second round on Thursday and remains ranked close to 300 in the world after her eight-month injury absence.
She is set to compete at the Abu Dhabi Open in February after receiving a wild card but unsure if she will be invited to other events in the Middle East, the 21-year-old Brit is searching for opportunities to keep competing.
'I really believe that the level in these quote "lower-level tournaments" and these tournaments is not that big,' Raducanu said in Melbourne.
'Because you gain so many skills, you're playing in these conditions, the wind here was a prime example. My opponent (Wang) played a lot of ITF and got a lot of matches under her belt, but the level really isn't that different. I would play whatever suits my schedule, whatever suits the plan.'
