The latest batch of uniforms for Major League Baseball have both players and fans mocking and criticizing Nike and Fanatics for their production - especially when it comes to the bottoms.

Images have been going viral on social media and has led to some possibly unwanted attention for players as these pants are essentially see-through.

Baseball officials have told the Wall Street Journal that the sizing changes are to blame and not any new fabric: 'The uniform pants have the same material and thickness as the uniform pants used last season. There were changes to the fabric of the jersey, not the pants.'

That statement continued, saying, 'The goal of these meetings is to provide players with the most comfortable uniforms available for Opening Day.'

The internet has been relentless in its assessment of the uniforms - with references to television shows like Seinfeld providing some levity to a moment of embarrassment for the players. Other fans were outraged and posted their ire on social media.
