Conor Gallagher produced an injury time winner to help Mauricio Pochettino's side seal a 3-2 victory against Leeds at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday

The Blues midfielder delivered when his manager perhaps needed it most, with his strike booking Chelsea a spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. The London side will now take on Leicester on march 16 at home.

But it was a tough night for the Blues, who went a goal down in the opening eight minutes of the match, with 20-year-old striker Mateo Joseph capitalising on a mispass from Axel Disasi inside his own penalty area.

The Blues would hit back with Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk scoring to give the home side a 2-1 lead, before Joseph would strike again, going unmarked at the back post to head in a beautifully weighted cross from Jaiden Anthony.

Mail Sport's Adam Patel delivers his player ratings from Chelsea's victory against Leeds.

Robert Sanchez 5 - First appearance since December and not the strongest performance. Couldn’t do much for Leeds’s goals but questionable distribution at times with Chelsea insistent on playing out from the back.

Malo Gusto 6 - Constant attacking threat down the right flank but was guilty of losing the ball on occasions. Terrific athleticism which helped him get out of trouble and played a big part in Chelsea’s second goal, playing Sterling through. Though should have got tighter to Jaidon Anthony to stop him putting the cross in for Mateo Joseph’s equaliser. Replaced on the hour mark for Ben Chilwell as Alfie Gilchrist shifted to right-back.

Axel Disasi 5 - At fault for Leeds’ first goal as he played the ball to Caicedo knowing he was in danger.

Trevoh Chalobah 6 - Making his first start of the season, showed great energy all evening though wasn’t exactly the most fluid trying to play out from the back. Yellow card in the first half for a bad foul.

Alfie Gilchrist 6 - One of five changes made by Mauricio Pochettino. The 20-year-old showed his versatility playing on both sides before he was replaced in the 74th minute for Levi Colwill.

Moises Caicedo 6 - Was one of the few bright sparks for Chelsea on Sunday. Shaky start here as he lost the ball for Leeds’ first goal but he wasn’t helped by the hospital pass from Disasi. Crucial in the build up for Jackson’s equaliser and got the assist. Booked early in the second half but another decent showing on the whole.

Enzo Fernandez 7 - Week by week, his partnership with Caicedo is improving. Captained the side but unwise decision making as his booking for dissent means he will miss the quarter-final against Leicester
