Richarlison has revealed the details behind an awkward engagement with Antonio Conte during the Italian's time at Tottenham.

Conte was appointed Spurs manager in November 2021, lasting 16 months until he was sacked in March 2023 after slating the club, staff and players in a press conference.

Spurs enjoyed varied success under his leadership, but are now on a different journey under Ange Postecoglou, with chairman Daniel Levy making it clear that he wanted to give the club their identity back.

Richarlison, meanwhile, arrived in the summer of 2022 in a £60million deal from Everton, playing a bit-part under Conte until nailing down a more regular starting place under Postecoglou.

The forward joined his countryman, Royal, in an interview with Fred Bruno, and is said to have outlined how a breakdown in communication with Conte lead to a somewhat uncomfortable discussion.
