Tom Lockyer, the Luton Town captain and Welsh footballer who experienced a cardiac arrest during a match has shared the news that he has become a father for the first time.

The Luton Town captain, at just 29 years old, collapsed during a Premier League game against Bournemouth in December. 

Speaking on Gary Lineker's podcast 'The Rest is Football,' he expressed how the birth of his daughter has profoundly impacted him.

Lockyer admitted that prior to this life-changing event, he believed football to be the most significant aspect of his life. 

However, the arrival of his daughter has shifted his perspective entirely. He emphasised that she had 'changed my world'.
