NFL fullback Derek Watt, one of three Watt brother to play in the league, has announced his retirement from football.
Watt, the middle brother of retired NFL star JJ and TJ Watt, announced he is hanging up his cleats on Tuesday following seven years in the NFL.
'It is with great honor and gratitude that I officially announce my retirement and the end to my career... A career that ended up being about so much more than just the game that I love,' he wrote in a statement posted to X.
'The 7 years with 2 great organizations, 110 career games, and lifelong friendships and memories that I've been fortunate enough to make have been nothing short of amazing.'
The 31-year-old was drafted by the Chargers in the sixth round of the 2016 Draft after playing collegiately at Wisconsin.
